Due to the wealth of experience gained over the last 35 years we are able to offer up-to-date customer support, seminars and workshops. This extensive range combined with our experience and a high level of technical expertise, makes us quite unique as remaining a UK based autoimmune specialist. Having our own private laboratory means we are participants of the NEQAS scheme and can perform tests in-house with rapid local analysis.
Autoimmunity encompasses a large spectrum of diseases, some of which require urgent diagnosis, others the differentiation of several autoantibody components. Bio-Diagnostics recognised the potential of this market and was the first company to market a complete range of diagnostic tests to UK immunology laboratories. We continue to offer free introductory training sessions at our laboratory in the Midlands or at your own site. Autoimmune IFA, the Gold Standard.

Bio-Diagnostics probably offer the widest array of IFA slides and well formats of any Autoimmune company, with an extensive variety of Special tissues completing the range. Slides are provided individually in packs or in kit form, and all the specialist conjugates, reagents and ancillary items are available to complement the range. We can also manufacture custom slides to suit your specialist requirements.

Immunofluorescence (IFA) requires the provision of tissue substrate microscope slides. These were soon augmented with other substrates presenting new markers, such as HEp-2 and human granulocytes.

Bio-Diagnostics has been a market leader in the field with a high level of technical expertise, offering training, lecturing and seminar programmes, coupled to a sera diagnostic service within our own private facility, as complete back-up for existing laboratories and new facilities being set up, who use our products. Having our own laboratory means we are participants of the NEQAS scheme and can perform tests in-house. We are now the only UK autoimmune company that retains a private laboratory to enable and maintain this expertise and technical support in the UK.

The original focus of the company, supplying ELISA and “Gold Standard” Immunofluorescent Assays (IFA) slides and reagents continues strongly, with the strict focus on the best quality and technical support that our customers have come to expect.

Bio-Diagnostics continues to grow its interests in specialised niche medical markets, particularly autoimmunity, but with additional expertise in infectious disease and specialist Immunohistochemistry products. We are continuing to build on the strong growth in our traditional markets over the last 12 months, and are broadening our ranges further to fulfil our current and future customer needs.
